Will AI Replace Human Intelligence?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has taken the world by storm. Some people think that it is humanity’s latest breakthrough. However, it is not a new invention. YouTube, Facebook and TikTok have long used algorithms to generate content for the users. The difference is that it has evolved at break-neck speed and become more powerful.

But here’s the catch. AI doesn’t have intelligence like we humans do. It depends on the pool of existing data to draw conclusions. What if the data are compromised? After all, it’s humans who feed data into the system. And human beings are fallible for many reasons.

AI is vulnerable to Garbage-in-Garbage-Out (GIGO) effect, i.e. poor-quality in input leads to poor-quality in output. AI can serve as a valuable reference, but it is too risky to rely on it completely.

AI is likely to replace certain jobs but claiming that it’ll replace human intelligence is an exaggeration.
